Arata Sushi in Prospect

I have had sushi at many places and in many states. This is one of the best I have had.

Excellent food and great conversation with owner. A real pleasure for lunch.

Meh. Been here quite a few times since its local. Been going a bit down hill. The sushi seems to fall apart often as if it isnt made right. The miso soup is okay, but there was one chunk of tofu and was very rubbery. It's beautiful inside, but the service doesnt match.

Incredible environment, great food, and impecible service. Im new to sushi and had to switch my order to find one that was perfect and they did it gladly with a smile!You have to try it!!

Very friendly, and fast. Service was good and the sushi was fresh. This location is small but comfortable. We had two rolls and some sashimi (the Lobster Paradise and the White Garden). I would recommend both of those rolls.We will be returning and I would recommend this location.

This place does both custom Teas and Sushi. Go hungry and in the mood for new.They can seem a bit pricey but trust me it is worth it.The food quality, something VERY important to me when eating sushi was outstanding. Fresh, cold cuts of all types. There was not one piece that didn't deliver. We did their $30 tray and a roll to go with and the value was incredible. This coupled with a vanilla/rum tea made for a great meal without any one thing over powering another.The service was excellent and we never had to wait on them. Our slowest point of the meal was trying to decide between all of their unique options.I will definitely be back. Again they're not a discount place. This is where you take someone to introduce them to the wonders of fine sushi.

That was absolutely the best sushi I've had in Louisville. The Rajun Cajun was worth every penny, and I will order it again. The spicy crab was delicious, and I even tried octopus for the first time. It wasn't bad! I can't wait to go back and try some different items on the menu.My server was Peyton, and she provided me with wonderful service. I will make sure she is always my server when I go back.

Love sushi, eat a lot of it. Live nearby but never had tried. Craving it one night, tried it out so didn't have to go too far. Very nice people, lovely interior, not good sushi. Sashimi tiny, mealy pieces, ginger dressing weird tasting and rolls dry. Not a huge selection and over-priced.

I love this place! I’ve grown up in Louisville and out of all the sushi places in town this is still by far my favorite! Great food, great atmosphere and the quality is top notch! I highly recommend Arata Sushi!

Good here was amazing.. They are making rolls out of this world tasty.. Everything was super fresh and we went on a Friday and it was slammed and they were still getting the food out quick.. This has to be the best sushi restaurant in Louisville..

Very impressed with the service and atmosphere of the whole restaurant. If you want great tasting food/sushi try this place and you won’t be dissapointed! Owner is polite and professional and genuinely cares for customers satisfaction!

Awesome find! This is my new favorite date night location. If you can snag one of the two tables just inside the door to the left it will feel like you have the whole place to yourself. The food was delicious and our server, Sam was great. Will definitely go back here.

Very pleased when I went in to ask about gluten free options that they were able to clearly articulate what had gluten and let me choose rolls that were GF on their own or could have small modifications to make them GF. Sushi was fresh, made quickly for take out and presented beautifully. Will definitely be back.

Sushi roll very good i had the Caterpillar with no rice was great. My fiance had crunch munch that she said was great.

We went for lunch and ordered some sushi rolls. They were delicious and very nice presentation. We will come back another day for dinner.

Outstanding sushi and quality service! This is a must for sushi lovers!!

The sushi was so-so and so was the service. They were nice enough, but were very defensive when I told them that the cokes were flat. I do have to say that they were very nice about letting my friend and I stay a while after we were finished as we hadn't seen each other in a long time. They didn't rush us out, but they also didn't have many others come in.

I had lunch here, and my friend and I were the only ones in the restaurant. Pricing is in line with other good sushi restaurants in town. The food was good, I definitely recommend the volcano roll. Restaurant is easy to find, parking may be tight on a busy evening.

The best Sushi and Rolls in Louisville.

I probably order from here at least twice a week and my only complaint has ever been that they put 2 rolls in one container and I had trouble telling them apart. Puru is a great guy who is always kind and patient and makes you feel welcome. The sushi is always fresh and neatly prepared.

For sushi lovers this place is for you and the family. Amazing atmosphere and great food!!

Excellent Sushi! Rolls and Nigiri were both great.

We tried a few rolls and had salads. It was all excellent. All the rolls are good sizes, and the "hand rolls" are the sushi equivalent of a burrito... It's like a huge single roll, designed to be eaten from the hand by a single person. The fish here is always extremely fresh, never has any stink at all, just tastes great.
